PLEASE NOTE: This version updates to .NET framework version 4.8 to stay in line with third party integrations.

• Added the ability to manage and renew your Sentient Trader license from within the application. Click on Help>Manage & Renew License to view details and link directly to a renewal page.
• Enabled logarithmic scaling on the Portfolio Manager equity chart, which makes the equity chart more appropriately scaled for portfolios that are built on the basis of increased trade size as equity increases. This is in anticipation of introducing fixed ratio money management tools to the portfolio manager.
• Added a more refined trading cost application to trading histories by enabling a % cost application.
• Changed display of numbers in portfolio manager and trade reports to show K for thousands and M for millions.
• Fixed a problem that caused longer timeframe charts to enter into an analysis loop when "limit cycles" setting on a shorter timeframe chart caused analysis anomalies, causing the chart to request an update from the longer timeframe chart.
• Fixed a problem receiving live data from NinjaTrader v8.0.27 and later.
• Updated identification of FLD interactions for the FLD strategy plug-in in preparation for intraday identification.
• Added a setting to replace Dropbox (or other online) paths for working on computers with different paths to the Dropbox folder. On the Data tab of Options change the input for "Replace Dropbox data paths" to the full path including /Dropbox at the end.
• Adjusted portfolio management to allow for the balance amount and date to be adjusted when loading a portfolio view.
• Various other small bug fixes.

Added ability to set current Chart Style as the default - which then enables you to adjust style settings in the options. If you want to edit a chart style:

• First save your default view/style as a new style called "mydefault" or something appropriate
• Then switch to the style you want to edit
• Use the menu View>Chart Style>Set as default
• Edit the style using Tools>Options
• Save the style with the same or a new name
• Switch back to the "mydefault" style
• Use the menu View>Chart Style>Set as default to make it default again

• Added ability to "fill in live data from Yahoo Finance" onto static non-streaming charts of NinjaTrader and Alpha Vantage. This is useful on daily charts if using a more reliable data source than Yahoo, but you want to see live (or 15-minute delayed) prices on your daily charts. Use the menu Data>Fill live data from Yahoo Finance to activate this. You will need to choose the Yahoo symbol, and then live data will be filled in onto the static daily chart.
• Fixed an issue on sharing workspaces between timezones that caused the date of the last bar to be read incorrectly
• Fixed an issue with searching for Yahoo symbols when "filling" with Yahoo data.

New Features

This new Beta introduces the first of a series of features that we are rolling out over the next few months. Please watch these videos to understand how the feature is intended to work:

• Hiding diamonds and semi-circles: a much -requested feature enables you to hide (and show) the diamonds and semi-circles of only a selection of cycles. Watch the video here.
• Hiding VTLs: Sentient Trader displays both UP and DOWN VTLs, but it useful to hide one or other of them at times. Watch the video here.
• Chart Styles: Quickly switch between different visual styles for you charts. Watch the video here.
• Import data into Yahoo & Ninja Trader data: If you have extensive ASCII data and would like to combine that with the ease of updating Yahoo or Ninja Trader data then this feature will prove useful. Watch the video here.

• Added the display of current mouse position on price axis and date axis. These labels show for 10 seconds after a mouse action

Bug Fixes

This new Beta is also packed with a great deal of bug fixes:

• Fixed an issue that caused Yahoo data to load the incorrect symbol if the symbol name has an "&" in it.

• Fixed a bug that caused zig-zags to display without target circles on weekly and monthly chart views

• Fixed an issue with price and time axis when the axis colour matches the chart background colour
• Fixed missing grid-lines on the price axis introduced by highlighting of mouse position
• Fixed bug in highlight of mouse position date and time.

• Added settings to control the display of current mouse position on price axis and date axis.
• Chart tab - Highlight Mouse Price and Date can be set to true or false
• Chart tab - Hide Mouse Price and Date after x seconds defines the # of seconds after which the highlight disappears. 0=never, default is 3 seconds

• Fixed a bug in generation of CML and cycle lines when Limit waves back applied to analysis where cycles would have broken amplitude curves.

• Changed master log files because of issues with them not updating on upgrades. Log files will now have the date appended in the format ddMMyyyy and a new file will be created each day. Old files are cleared out when more than 10 files collect. In this way we can look at issues that occurred in the recent past.
• Added a setting on the Chart tab -Price and Date scales match chart- that will simplify the x and y axes to simple lines instead of the usual textured axis background.

This update fixes an issue with a bad request response from QuoteStream when activating live data stream.

• Fixed an issue that caused the bar information (OHLC) to disappear from the status bar when left-clicking on the bar.
• It includes added logging around build of FLD arrays for virtual machines.
• Double-clicking on a workspace file when Sentient Trader is running will open the workspace in the existing instance.
• Added notifications when Yahoo Finance data limitations are likely to be breached (at 50%, 80% and 95% levels)
• Fixed Yahoo history download handling dates in non US format.

• Mouse wheel now zooms the chart.
• About and Options windows now display with ST as owner and in the same screen.
• Fixed an issue that prevented dragging count boxes into the range of a bar.
• Changed the default on Cyclic Model Table and Analysis Summary Panel to display on top when first being shown (can be changed by clicking on the pin symbol at the top right)

• Global Datafeed data is now sorted alphabetically when loading historical data.

This is the first general release which includes Yahoo Finance intraday data. Please make sure that you  watch the videos about Yahoo Finance data so that you understand this integration BEFORE loading any charts!

• Updated the Yahoo status process so that it presents two figures: % data used/ % period elapsed
• Fixed a problem with Cycle Lines that were locked to price appearing to disappear when zoomed in to a level which did not include that price - if that happens then simply use the Cycle Lines dropdown menu and uncheck "Lock to Price" and the lines will reappear.
• Added Global Datafeeds continuous futures contracts for MCX and CDS exchanges.
• Fixed a Global Datafeeds problem which caused continuous futures contracts to fail to load on reopening a workspace, and not receive live data.

• AlphaVantage now require a premium API key to access adjusted daily data for stocks. This update allows customers with a free API key to download unadjusted daily data for stocks, and then to manually define splits and consolidations (which are saved to the data file). Please see the new videos on the academy about this process.
• False license errors on software updates should be fixed.
• Fixed a problem that caused gaps in Yahoo data caused by a mismatch of timezones.
• Added two options on the Data tab to define date and time format when exporting data (use standard formats such as yyyyMMdd HH:mm - we will be adding full details to the user manual).
• Fixed a problem with Yahoo Daily data which occasionally advanced the last bar into the future (caused by another timezone conversion issue).
• Added the creation of an alternate log file if UAC blocks writing to the default log file (an issue with administrative privileges). If Sentient Trader is not updating the log file you can also simply delete the old log file manually, and ST will then correctly write a new file.

• This BETA version fixes a problem loading Yahoo Finance 15xminute data for customers in the Pacific timezone (because in this timezone data too far in the past was being requested).| The license activation (and refreshing) process has been improved.
• A bug that caused the CML to develop kinks several cycles in the future on analyses with limited lookback periods (limit waves back) has been fixed.
• The protocol used for DTN IQfeed data has been updated to 6.2. This should not have any impact on your DTN IQfeed data, but if you have encountered protocol conflicts with other software using DTN IQfeed they should be resolved.|bullet The DTN IQfeed integration now recognizes the installation of the 64-bit version of the IQfeed client.
• Workspace backups are now created by default on NEW installations of ST. If your installation is not backing up the workspace files then we recommend changing that option on the General tab.
• EOD Yahoo Finance data will only request new data on the first time a chart is opened in a day. This reduces API calls on those customers who are opening EOD charts multiple times in a single day.
• Charts now remember whether the scaling should be linear or logarithmic, and will display that scaling when reopened.
• This is a breaking change which requires an update to all workspaces. Workspaces will be backed up with an _old appended to the workspace name. If you need to revert to the previous version of the workspace, simply open the back up.

• The Yahoo Finance data API details have been updated to reflect changes made by our data provider. Without performing this update it won't be possible to download Yahoo Finance data.

• A new data menu item has been added which enables monitoring of Yahoo Finance data usage. The option, Yahoo Finance data status, can be found under the Data menu. N.B. The status is calculated on an ongoing basis, not a cumulative basis. A status of 100% means that you are likely to use your full allocation (100%) if you keep using the same amount of data every day that month. Check out this video for more information.

• It is now possible to set the file format for screenshots. The setting can be found under Tools> Options> General tab and the available formats are .bmp/.jpg/.png/.tiff. This setting applies to all screenshots, whether triggered manually, on the bar close, or when an FLD/VTL/price level is reached.

• There is a new option under Tools > Options > Chart tab Adjust scaling for recent extreme. This option is now checked by default. When checked, if the high or low of the displayed data is within the most recent 20% of the chart, then an extra 20% of padding is added to the max or min of the chart. The effect is that if the highest (or lowest) price is happening now, then extra space will be added above (or below) making it easier to see the CML, FLDs, VTLs, etc. as the market approaches them
