Sentient Trader

New Features:

  • FLD Strategy plug-in (for alumni of FLD Strategy course) automatically identifies and labels FLD interactions for all cycles and timeframes. Plug-in needs to be enabled (contact support if you need help with this).
  • A Global Trading Journal will now collect all trading and order information each day. Manually created journal entries on individual charts can be added to the Global Journal. The Global Trading Journal automatically archives each month. Previous journals can be viewed from Tools menu.
  • Added the ability to plot FLDs on the basis of a fixed wavelength (based on the nominal wavelength as opposed to actual recent wavelength).
  • Added the option to plot a "trend filter" in Trader edition. In Trade Settings, click on Advanced, and select the Trend Filter option, Plot on Chart and # of bars.
  • Added rudimentary ability to import trades (such as from Tradingview). Contact support for details. This feature will be enhanced in future updates.

Trader edition new settings

  • When the tick value is in a foreign currency the FX rate can be downloaded automatically from Yahoo, and the correct position sizing calculated.
  • The sizing of forex trades can be calculated and expressed in currency terms. Define the base currency (the first in the pair, e.g. EUR in EURUSD). And if the trading account currency is one of the pair then chart data can be used to calculate the position size, otherwise the rate can be downloaded automatically from Yahoo (uses your Yahoo API allotment).

  • Fixed a problem caused by clicking on manage license when no default browser installed.
  • Added Yahoo data access using old protocols for Windows 7 computers
  • Added four display options on Trader edition charts:
  1. Open trade P/L
  2. Open trade risk (full: from current equity & actual profit/loss)
  3. All open charts combined open trade P/L
  4. All open charts combined open trade risk (full: from current equity & actual profit/loss)
  • Fixed an issue with Quotestream for handling greater than int32 volumes
  • Fixed issue with DNT IQfeed not loading data if all previous workspaces were closed, and then data requested before the DTN IQfeed auto-disconnect time elapsed.
  • Fixed an issue generating CML with a distorted Sigma L
  • Changed the resolution in brackets after the chart name to show the display resolution instead of the data resolution e.g. (monthly) when displaying monthly bars.
  • Fixed a problem that caused a double-run error when double-clicking on a workspace file and Sentient Trader is already open.
  • Added a close workspace without saving routine on an error when opening and displaying a workspace, to avoid files becoming corrupted on display errors.
  • Enabled select all and deselect all on portfolio elements for the portfolio saving to text and image exports.
  • Added portfolio settings to handle imported trades which have open time instead of close time.
  • Fixed display of data time in the text on chart to show the actual timestamp, not converted to system timezone.
  • Fixed the mysterious extra grid-line that appeared in the price scale.
  • Fixed various other small bugs including errors finding question troughs, and removing of panels from the workspace monitor.
